The ballot for the election of Rev Dr Breda Ludik was counted and the results announced at a Kirk Session meeting on the evening of Thursday 26 November. There were 189 votes cast; of these 187 were in support of electing Rev Breda Ludik as our minister, with 1 vote against and 1 spoiled ballot paper.
Rev Dr Ludik has accepted the call to the charge of St Andrew’s-Lhanbryd & Urquhart.
A formal declaration will be included in the intimations at Sunday’s service.
The document with Breda Ludik’s Call to our congregation is available to view both in the manse and in St Margaret’s Hall in Urquhart, from between 2 and 3 pm each day from Friday 27 November up to and including Friday 4 December. Anyone whose name is on the congregation’s Electoral Register may sign the Call in person and is encouraged to do so. Anyone not on the Register, but who would like to support the Call to Breda may instead sign the Paper of Concurrence which will also be available. Children are also welcome to add their names to this.
The Presbytery will now make arrangements for Dr Ludik’s induction which is provisionally scheduled for Thursday 17 December. Full details will be emailed when these have been finalised.
